Biography

Dr. Muneeb Ayoub Memon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at QUEST Nawabshah. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering in 2021 with a specialization in sustainable and advanced construction materials. His academic and research work focuses on developing durable, low-carbon, and cost-effective materials for infrastructure and housing applications. His primary research interests include self-compacting concrete, geopolymer composites, fiber-reinforced concrete, bio-based self-healing concrete, and stabilized earthen construction materials. He has extensive experience in the utilization of locally available agricultural and industrial by-products such as marble slurry, fly ash, silica fume, bagasse ash, banana leaf ash, and other supplementary cementitious materials to produce eco-efficient concrete systems. Dr. Memon’s research is aligned with national priorities related to infrastructure resilience, climate adaptation, waste valorization, and sustainable housing development in Pakistan. He is actively engaged in funded research projects addressing low-cost housing, bio-based self-healing concrete, and sustainable material innovation for climate-resilient infrastructure. He has published research articles in reputable international journals and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in advanced construction materials and sustainable engineering technologies. His work aims to reduce cement dependency, lower embodied carbon, extend service life of infrastructure, and promote circular economy practices within the construction sector. Dr. Memon is committed to advancing applied research that bridges laboratory innovation with field implementation to support Pakistan’s long-term sustainable development goals.
