Biography

Engr. Naeem Mangi is a dedicated and accomplished civil engineering academic and researcher currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, Pakistan. His commitment to engineering education is built upon a solid foundation of both academic rigor and practical field experience, including roles as a Lab Engineer at QUEST and an Assistant Engineer at Sukkur IBA, alongside experience on major infrastructure projects across Pakistan. Engr. Mangi holds a Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from QUEST, focusing his research on excavation-induced ground movements. He also earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Civil Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology. Driven by a passion for advancing the field of geotechnical engineering, Engr. Mangi is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in this specialization in China. His doctoral research investigates the intricate aspects of tunneling effects, excavation-induced deformations, and pile-soil interaction, employing advanced numerical modeling techniques such as ABAQUS and PLAXIS 3D. His dedication to scholarly pursuits is evidenced by his multiple publications in high-impact international journals indexed in the prestigious Science Citation Index (SCI), showcasing his significant contributions to the body of engineering knowledge. His research interests include geotechnical, highway and transportation engineering, and civil engineering materials. Actively involved in student mentorship and academic advising, he is also committed to community service. As a registered member of the Pakistan Engineering Council, Engr. Mangi actively participates in the professional engineering community.
