VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited on the prescribed form for the under mentioned teaching and non teaching positions for Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah, so as to reach the undersigned on or before 22.05.2012 during the office hours.  Applications should include two latest photographs; bio-data, attested Photostat copies of Certificates and names of two refrees.  Application forms can be obtained from the office of Assistant Registrar (Coord/Meetings) during the working hours against the payment of Rs.1000/-.through Bank Challan/DD (non refundable) for BPS-17 & above and Rs.600/= (non refundable) for BPS-16 as processing fees. Application(s) can also be made on the Form downloaded from the University website: www.quest.edu.pk or on plain paper by giving full C.V. and other details which must be accompanied with a Demand Draft of the amount as mentioned above in favour of Director Finance QUEST, Nawabshah.

Experience: twelve (12) years teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized institution/ college /university.

Twelve (12) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience.

Research Publications: 12 research publications with at least 03 publications during last five years in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.

 

2- ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Two (02) years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

 

4-   LECTURER

vi)    English (on contract basis          fixed pay of Rs.25000/ per         month.

Master’s Degree /B.E (First Class) or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution. However, preference will be given to candidates having Masters degree (18 years).

M.A./M.Sc/MBA /B.E from a recognized and reputed  University and 13/17 years teaching and / or administrative experience in a post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University, Board, College and / or / Government Department / Autonomous organization.

Ph.D. /M.E from a recognized and reputed  University and 13 years teaching and / or administrative experience in a post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University, Board, College and / or / Government Department / Autonomous organization

The candidates must be fully conversant with the rules and regulations of administration prevailing in the Government Departments and autonomous organizations.  Besides the candidate msut have full knowledge of conduct the meetings of statutory bodies, preparation of Agenda & Working Papers etc.
 

 

6-   SENIOR WORKSHOP   INSTRUCTOR (MECHANICAL)

INSTRUCTIONS / FURTHER INFORAMTION:

  • Candidates applying for the posts of Professor and the Associate Professor should submit four copies of their bio-data/C.V. alongwith required documents including copies of Research Publications, in triplicate properly binded.
  • The terms and conditions for appointment to the posts on Tenure Track System can be seen on the HEC website.
  • Candidates who are already serving in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by NOC from the employer and will be responsible for getting themselves relieved properly from their departments.  An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.
  • Maximum age limit is 45 years; relaxable in cases of Government/Semi Government employees in exceptional cases. 
  • In case of non availability of candidate(s), Age may be relaxed.  However, there shall be no relaxation for qualification, publications and experience.
  • Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer is mandatory wherever necessary.
  • Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application form(s) along with bank draft/ challan with necessary documents for each post.
  • Incomplete applications i.e. without educational, professional, experience certificates, processing fee etc or applications received after the specified date shall not be entertained.
  • The University reserves the right of cancellation of advertised post(s) partly or as a whole.
  • Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
  • Canvassing in any manner will disqualify the candidate.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing at the interview/written test.
