Quaid-e-awam University has some of the
best facilities in the country. We have
invested Rs.1.0 million in new sports
facilities, including a Rs. 0.5 million
extension to the existing sports centre
and redevelopment of our 74 acres of
outdoor sports pitches.
Leisure Services manages the
University’s indoor and outdoor sports
facilities, and related services, and
organises an extensive programme of
instruction, fitness classes, courses,
leagues and tournaments.
Our wide range of sports facilities
are available to students, staff and the
local community with participation in
sporting activities encouraged at all
levels of ability from the complete
beginner to the advanced performer.
The University’s comprehensive range
of facilities for sport and leisure
provides for almost every student sport,
and participation at all levels.
Student’s common room is annexed to
every hostel in which facilities are
provided for indoor games such as Table
Tennis, Badminton, Carom, etc.
Facilities also exist for outdoor games
such as Volleyball, Cricket, Tennis,
Hockey, Basketball, Football, Athletics
and Body-building. For all these games a
sports complex is available near the
Hostels.
The equipment and consumables are
supplied by the University to the extent
that budget funds are available. The
keen sportsmen usually purchase their
own equipment such as rackets and balls. |
