Improved Power Flow Techniques for the Design and Analysis of the System Parameters Sadaruddin Shaikh, Nooruddin Memon, and Muhammad Ismail Soomro
Abstract: The operation and planning of Power systems depends upon the effective use of the load flow techniques. Many load flow techniques have been developed since last thirty years. The earlier numerical methods are reportedly slow and inferior in accuracy and capability. The Second Order Newton-Raphson method (SONR), Fast Decoupled Load Flow method (FDLF) and Distribution flow are some of the newly developed algorithms for the load flow studies and for the computation of the voltage collapse point in the system network. The work described in this paper discusses the best possible approach to the development of an improved load flow algorithm for the computation of essential system parameters and the rediction of the criterion for voltage collapse in the specific distribution network.
