Effect of E. M. Technology on Compressive Strength of Cement

Farman Ali Shah and Muhammad Ibrahim Pathan

Abstract:

This paper describes the role of Effective Microorganisms (E. M.) solution for enhancing and upgrading the compressive strength, which is one of the important properties of cements. The experimental work was conducted at laboratory scale to check the compressive strength of cements of various manufacturers by using EM solution of different concentration (having different pH values). The EM solution was prepared and used in cement mortar instead of water, with two effective concentrations (20 and 30; i.e. sample1 and sample2).  The compressive strength of different cements samples were carried out after the duration 3, 7 and 28 days., their results proved that the EM solution can be utilized for improvement in cements compressive strength. This is recommended that the solutions is more effective for construction and structural purposes.
