APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION.
|
Call for admissions are
advertised in the prominent
provincial as well as national
newspapers after HSC-II results
are announced by most of the
Boards. The candidates are
required to obtain application
forms from designated Banks in
various cities and towns on
payment of prescribed fees and
are asked to deposit them with
the same banks within the
announced due date. The
candidates are required to fill
up the prescribed application
form in their own handwriting
carefully; specially, while
writing the prioritized choices
of the disciplines. These
application forms are then sent
to Quaid-e-Awam University where
they are scrutinized and the
in-eligible applications are
rejected. After this scrutiny,
the date for pre-admission test
is announced and all the
eligible candidates are sent
admission slips for entry to the
Pre-admission Test. The
disciplines are awarded strictly
on merit and on the basis of
available seats in urban/rural
areas of each district keeping
in view the prioritized choices
of the student. Since the
application form is a legal
document any wrong information
provided therein, over-writing
or tampering in any other way is
illegal and may result in
outright rejection of the form
without notice.
The candidates are required to
submit the attested photostat
copies of all the certificates
as indicated in the application
form. |
|
PRE-ADMISSION TEST.
i)
All eligible candidates for
Categories A, B, C, D, E, F, G,
H,I,J and K(Table 5.1) shall
compulsorily appear in the
Pre-admission test to qualify
for admission.
ii)
A one–hour MCQ based test will
be conducted in the following
subjects:
?lt;span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-family: Times New Roman">
Mathematics (not applicable for

The merit list of the candidates
for each district/category will
be prepared by calculating the
overall merit, based on the
marks obtained in each of the
following examinations and
multiplying them with the
respective weightage and adding
the result up to calculate the
Combined Merit Percentage (CMP)
as described below.

marks are the marks secured in
HSC examination plus additional
marks, if any, as defined in
clause 5.6 minus marks to be
deducted as defined in clause
5.7.
For example, if a student has
secured 70 percent marks in SSC,
65 percent adjusted marks in HSC
and 50 per cent marks in
pre-admission test: his/her CMP
would be given by:
CMP = 70*0.1+65*0.35+50*0.55 =
57.25 (per cent). |

INTERVIEWS.
| After the receipt of the
results of pre-admission test a
comprehensive preliminary merit list is
prepared for each
district/category and a larger
number of candidates is called
for interview before the
Admission Committee. The
interviews are held at Quaid-e-Awam University Campus
Nawabshah on the dates given in
the letters for interview. The
number of candidates called for
interviews is usually much
higher than the seats available
in a given district or category.
The candidates are also required
to bring their original
certificates for verification,
particularly the following four
certificates, which shall be
retained by the University
authorities. The production of
the original certificates is a
must (especially marks sheet of HSSC and PRC) without which
admission would not be
considered.
Marks sheet of SSC
(Matriculation).
Marks sheet of HSC
(Intermediate, Science).
Domicile Certificate of
candidate/guardian.
PRC on ‘C?form of candidate.
The names of those
candidates, who failed to appear
for the interview before the
Admission Committee on the
scheduled date and time without
any intimation and permission,
shall be deleted from the merit
list of the concerned
district/category and they shall
not be considered for admission.
Interviews and admission letters
are sent through Urgent Mail
Service (UMS) under postal
certificate. Any claim of
non-receipt of such letters must
be made within 10 days of
interview/admission date. Any
late claim would not be
entertained and the decision of
the Admission Committee shall be
final. In fact, the candidates
who are really interested in
admission do keep in touch with
the university authorities and
their friends to get information
in this regard. Thus their
absence from the interview shall
amount to forfeiture of their
right of admission.
The Admission Committee may
allow the change of priority of
choices of disciplines given by
the candidates in their
application forms for cogent
reasons only and on written
request of the candidates at the
time of the interview. NO SUCH
CHANGE WOULD BE ALLOWED AFTER
THE INTERVIEWS AT ANY STAGE
If a student is studying
elsewhere he/she must clearly
mention this fact in the
application form. If he still
wishes to be admitted in
Quaid-e-Awam University, and his
original documents are deposited
elsewhere, he must mention this
fact during the interview and
must present the original
documents to the Admission
Committee within three days
after he has been informed about
the possibility of his
admission, for which he must
remain in touch with Registrar’s
office. No claim would be
entertained after this period
and wrong information given by
him/her would disqualify him/her
from admission.
The Admission Committee has
reserved right to change /
rectify any entry in the
preliminary / provisional merit
list, if any error found before
or after the display of such list(s)
on the notice board as well as
on web site. |
